Vietnamese Professionals of Hawaii

Founded in 2011, the Vietnamese Professionals of Hawaii strive to empower the Vietnamese community in Hawaii.

John Mai



John was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he completed a BA in Communications with a minor in speech. He is fluent in vietnamese. John is the Community Relations Manager at AlohaCare. AlohaCare is a locally owned and operated Health Plan and is currently the 3rd largest Health Plan in Hawaii. His position is to increase brand awareness and visibility for AlohaCare. 

In addition to his role at AlohaCare, John has been a Real Estate agent for INET Realty since 2011. He specializes in residential real estate and he has recently been named as an Aloha Aina nominee as well as HONOLULU Magazine's Best in Real Estate list. 

John also spends a lot of his time giving back to the local community here in Honolulu. He is the head coach for the varsity boys soccer team at McKinley High School. For team's success this year, John was recently named 2018 OIA East Boys Soccer Coach of the Year.
